I was taught the procedure as it has been done for thousands of years with simple tools, candle flame, organic eggs, and a clear state of mind.  My batik eggs are created using the same wax resist process pysanky is created.  I don't consider my work pysanky because I don't use religious imagery and I don't participate in the cultural traditions and prayers associated with pysanky.  The works you see here are my original designs featured on chicken or goose eggs. Complicated designs can take up to 10 hours to complete.
